ABOUT US
The UMK’s Bachelor of Accounting with Honours is specially designed for students who wish to obtain an accounting degree recognized by MQA and to provide the path to become certified accountants qualified by ACCA/MICPA.
This is the only programme at public universities in Malaysia that adopts curriculums from ACCA and MICPA professional bodies in their programme's structure in order to make the graduates more marketable and relevant.
Students will be placed in ACCA/MICPA approved employers while undergoing their one-year apprenticeship courses to ensure that they gain invaluable real-life industry experience.
Students are also equipped with entrepreneurial knowledge that gives them skills to create new job opportunities in the industry.
WHY CHOOSE US?
The opportunity to take at least two professional certificate modules (ACCA/MICPA) throughout the studies. The remaining of the professional certificate modules can be taken after graduation (2 ACCA modules and 3 MICPA modules).
The one-year apprenticeship courses at ACCA/MICPA approved employers are counted as part of the three years working experience requirement in order to be qualified as certified accountants.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Obtained at least Grade B at SPM level for Mathematics and any three (3) of the following subjects: Accounting/ Commerce/ Fundamental of Economics/ Additional Mathematics/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology
MATRICULATION
Minimum CGPA of 3.00 with at least Grade B in Mathematics and in any two (2) of the following subjects: Accounting/ Economics/ Business Management/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology
STPM
Minimum CGPA of 3.00 with minimal Grade B in any two (2) of the following subjects: Accounting/ Economics/ Modern Mathematics/ Additional Mathematics/ Business Studies/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology
DIPLOMA
AND
Obtained at least Level 3 (Band 3) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
AND
Pass the recruitment eligibility interview.
