Aim

The Journal of Entrepreneurship and Business (JEB) is a double-blind, peer-reviewed and  open-access journal, which is published in June and December annually.  JEB is unique in the sense that it addresses the fundamental issues of Entrepreneurship and Business. It publishes original papers on all aspects of Entrepreneurship and Business in local and regional context.  The emphasis is on both qualitative and quantitative works and papers that are relevant to Entrepreneurship and Business and those that are intellectually stimulating are highly encouraged to participate.  The primary audiences for this journal are academicians, policy makers and practitioners; focusing on socio-economic development and societal well being through activities and discourses of Entrepreneurship and Business and the same include:

Manuscript Submission

Article types

The Journal welcomes articles, research communications, and book reviews that focus on the dynamics of entrepreneurship and business. Books and Book Reviews; should be sent to the Editorial Office.

Each manuscript should contain:

  1. The title of the contribution and the name(s) of the author(s) on a separate sheet of paper. The full postal address/phone/fax/email details of each author should be included. All pages should be numbered.
  2. Abstract should be 100-150 words. The abstract should cover the overall purpose or research problem; stated early in the abstract; the methodology used; including the research design, sample, and data collection methods; a concise discussion of a few significant research findings and an overview of the main conclusions of the paper.
  3. Up to 6 key words and JEL Classification as well.
  4. Main text and word count suggested target is about 3,500 to 10,000 words. Text to be clearly organised; with a clear hierarchy of headings, subheadings and quotations exceeding 40 words; displayed, indented and in text.
  5. End Notes, if necessary, should be signalled by superscript numbers in the main text and listed at the end of the text before references. Historical, documentary or archival sources should be cited in endnotes. Discursive End Notes are allowed.
  6. References in both the text and in any End Notes should follow the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th edition). (APA Citation Style for JEB)

Authorship

Papers should only be submitted for consideration once the authorisation of all contributing authors has been garnered and that they are acknowledged as contributing authors.

The list of authors should include all those who can legitimately claim authorship and that the latter comprise of those who have:

  1. Made a substantial contribution to the concept, design, acquisition of data and or analysis and interpretation of data;
  2. Drafted the article or critically revised the paper’s intellectual content or context.

It is hereby stated that the acquisition of funding, collection of data or general supervision of the research group alone does not constitute authorship notwithstanding that contributors whom do not meet the criteria for authorship can be listed in the acknowledgment section therein.
